- Explore the collection, taking note of several paintings you like.
- Narrow this down to 5...(at least 5, you can do more)
- The 5 you choose should tell a story about the Great Migration... have a beginning a middle and an end. Think chronologically.
Then address the following:
For each of the 5 paintings address the following questions:
- Title of the Painting and the painting #:
- What IS the subject of the painting?
- How does this painting help to tell the story of the Great Migration?
- What can this painting teach others?
After all paintings have been highlighted....
- Then tell your story/narrative. How do these paintings connect?
- Be sure to highlight the push/pull factors, the journey and highlights/lowlights.
